Dual Credit and AP at Luther High

Our online dual credit program is currently offered through Bethany Lutheran College, with other colleges currently being explored to add to our suite of available courses. Bethany’s dual credit courses offer high school students great savings in time and money by providing concurrent enrollment in high school and college through online classes taught by Bethany Lutheran College faculty. High school students take college courses that can be accessed at any time during their high school day or in the convenience of their home. Our current dual credit course offerings through Bethany Lutheran College include:

Semester One

• ECON203 Principles of Macroeconomics
• PSYC100 General Psychology
• BIOL280 Medical Terminology
• HIST207 History of USA I
• MUSC102 Music Appreciation
• LEGL210 Introduction to Legal Studies

Semester Two

• MATH120 Introduction to Statistics
• HLTH201 Nutrition
• HIST208 History of USA II
• COMM111 Fundamentals of Speech
• SOCL240 Criminal Deviance and Justice

Transcripted dual credit credit courses are dual credit courses typically from Western Technical College taught at Luther High School by qualified high school teachers. Once students enroll and successfully complete the course with a C or better, they will receive credit from Luther High School and Western Technical College or another partner college. These courses are free of charge and students will complete paperwork with the college in the fall of each semester. 

Students can request their college transcript at the completion of the course and many credits transfer to other college campuses. Current Luther High classes that will convert to college credit through the transcripted credit agreement. (These are subject to change without notice.)
