Luther High School’s Student Council is hosting a walk-a-thon to raise funds for sarcoma research!
What is it?
Students, Faculty, and community members can sign up to participate in the Walk-a-thon. The goal for walkers is to walk as many miles as possible. Walkers are also responsible for getting other people to “sponsor” them. Sponsors will be asked to pledge a specific dollar amount for every mile the walker walks. All this money will go directly to sarcoma research.
When is it?
This walk-a-thon will take place on April 27th from 9:00pm to 12:00am at Luther High School’s track. (There will also be an art auction and Brat Feed that night) The silent auction will go from 7-9. The brat feed will go from 7-12.
Sarcoma is a cause that is very personal for us. The father of one of our senior students very recently passed away as a result of Sarcoma. In honor of him, and to help prevent others from going through what he went through, we chose to raise funds to donate to this cause. We think that it is a great opportunity to show support and impact change, and hope you will too.
What can you do?
You can sponsor a walker (or multiple walkers), or sign up to be a walker. Regardless of what you choose, you can spread the word about this event so that more people can get involved. We want to be able to make an impact and help find a cure to this deadly disease. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated and make a big difference.
