Our academic program offers a wide range of opportunities and pathways designed to prepare students for what’s next. From college preparatory coursework to hands-on experiences in areas like the trades, fine arts, and career-focused classes, students are able to explore their interests and gain practical skills. These experiences go beyond the classroom, helping students build confidence, resilience, and a clear sense of direction for their future.
Just as important, this learning happens within a community that reflects an “us” mindset. Teachers invest personally in students, and students support one another as they grow academically and spiritually. At Luther High School, preparing students for what’s next means equipping young men and women with the faith, knowledge, skills, character, and confidence to step into the future with purpose. Whether students pursue a four-year university, technical college, military service, ministry, or enter directly into the workforce, Luther graduates leave prepared to lead, serve, and make an impact.
Prepared for College & Career Success
Luther students are challenged through rigorous academics, hands-on learning opportunities, and meaningful mentorship from teachers who know and invest in them. As a result, our graduates are highly respected by colleges, technical schools, and employers throughout the region.
Approximately 60% of Luther graduates continue their education at four-year colleges and universities, while another 30% pursue technical college pathways and career-focused training programs.
For many families, Luther offers the best of both worlds: a college-preparatory education alongside exceptional Career & Technical Education opportunities. Students can explore advanced academic pathways while also gaining hands-on experience in high-demand fields through dual credit coursework, industry-focused classes, and technical training that often provides a head start on college credits and career certifications before graduation.
Military Service Opportunities
Luther proudly supports students exploring military service as a future pathway. Representatives from all branches of the U.S. military regularly visit campus throughout the school year, giving students opportunities to learn more about military careers, leadership development, educational benefits, and service opportunities.
Encouraging Future Ministry Leaders
As a Christ-centered school, Luther High School also values and encourages opportunities for students to consider full-time ministry and gospel service. Through mentorship, classroom learning, and special experiences like the “Focus on the Ministry” visit to Martin Luther College (MLC), students are introduced to careers as pastors, teachers, and staff ministers.
Luther is blessed with generous donors who invest in future ministry leaders by providing more than $20,000 annually in scholarships for graduates attending Martin Luther College. Through these opportunities, students are encouraged to use their God-given gifts in service to others and to carry Christ-centered leadership into every area of life.
