Why It's So Important
Luther High School has helped shape leaders in the church and Christian homes since 1957. The Luther High Association includes 29 area WELS churches. The mission of Luther High is to provide a Christ-centered education that encourages and equips students for life and eternity.
The hallmarks of our Christ-focused ministry include academic excellence, fine arts programs, athletic success, a dedicated and God-fearing faculty, and the generous support of parents, alumni, Association congregation members, and friends. God has richly blessed our past, He continues to direct and shape the present, and His Word will guide us in the future. Luther High School is a part of our fabric and a wonderful resource for area congregations and the community.
For 60 years students have received a Christ-centered education at LHS and heard the saving message of salvation daily at school. For many of us, LHS has been here our entire lives! Two or three generations of some families have attended LHS and the school continues to welcome new families every year! Our churches have made it one of their ministries. Many of you have participated in a school activity. There are literally thousands of people who have been touched in some way by our school. What a blessing for all! The Luther High building project supports the continuation and future of Luther High’s mission. We appreciate your prayers and support!
We Need You!
To finalize these critical improvements and address our long-term debt, your help is needed. Over half the cost of the completed building project is now covered by gifts and pledges, but there is a need to finish the project before construction prices and interest rates rise. Together, the gifts & pledges of all sizes make a difference! Our goal is to raise the remaining funds eliminating the need for long-term borrowing.
Since Luther High School is owned and operated by the Association congregations, we are approaching the members of these congregations for these remaining funds. We certainly need your prayers and support! Will you please pray and consider a gift to LHS for the needed funds to Finish the Work? Gifts of any size are greatly appreciated.
Your gift is truly important and no gift is too small. You can send your gift or pledge to the school by filling out the attached form and mailing it to the school or by dropping off your gift in the school office. If you are interested in a tour of the new facility, call (608) 783-5435 x1142.
Join the 2020 Resolution!
After researching the needs of the school structure, a vote by the Luther High Association moved forward with a building project in 2016. Since then, project support has reached more than half the needed funds - but we are not there yet! It is time to resolve the remaining needs for this project before interest and construction rates continue to rise– it is time to “Finish the Work.” We would like to invite you to become an active member of your Luther High Association which is comprised of 29 area congregations.
Members of Luther High Association congregations are encouraged to consider becoming an involved part of the LHS Building Project through the 2020 RESOLUTION. Please prayerfully consider a tax-deductible pledge of $20 (or more) per month for 20 months (or more).
Investing in this opportunity means you are a part of the future of Christ-centered education at your Luther High School and that you are an active part in helping to continue the mission of education for eternity. A unified effort of all Association members will help to accomplish a lot with just a little! Please prayerfully consider joining our group of supporting partners today!
The strong resolve that the cost of the Luther High building project is our Association Congregations’ commitment is not only commendable, it is vital for the continued strengthening and growth of Christ-centered education, and it involves you. Thank you for your prayerful cosideration! Click here for the 2020 RESOLUTION Donation Form.
